Ellen and Portia de Rossi got soaked with another rush of bad luck after their home in UK is said to have ‘flooded.’ The pair fled left America and ran to the UK after Donald Trump beat Kamala Harris in the 2024 election. They left their old home only to have their new home in potential danger with the floods.
It all happened when Storm Bert dropped tons of rain in the area, causing River Thames to break bank – which just happened to be close to Ellen’s 43-acre property according to Yahoo News. The report had a quote from someone over there, saying “the flood waters are rising by the house. This is the worst I have seen it in years.” The report continued:
The move across the pond was rumored to be regarding President-elect Trump’s second-term win, as a source told TMZ at the time that DeGeneres and de Rossi were “very disillusioned” about the election results.
DeGeneres had not made any statements regarding leaving the country if Trump had won the presidency. She was vocal about her support for Vice President Kamala Harris throughout her campaign and even reportedly donated $3,300 to her campaign fund.
The floods near Ellen’s UK mansion have been the talk of social media all morning too. Collin Rugg reported on X:
Ellen DeGeneres’ UK mansion hit by floods just weeks after she fled the United States following Trump’s win.
According to the Daily Mail, DeGeneres’ 43-acre, multimillion dollar property is “swamped” from raging floods.
“The flood waters are rising by the hour. This is the worst I have seen it in years,” said a local resident.
Locals say everything is under 5 feet of water.
The house is a six bedroom, four bathroom farmhouse converted into a modern luxury home.
The incident happened after DeGeneres moved to Great Britain, saying she is “never coming back” to the US after Trump’s election win, according to The Wrap.
