Democrat Hakeem Jeffries was being mocked on social media as the ‘Dollar Tree Obama’ after he was seen on videos fuming about the delay in the spending bill. Republican leaders discovered woke ideology, pay raises for government folks, and other ‘pork’ in the 1500+ page Continuing Resolution (CR) spending bill that would keep government open. Things spiraled out of control once Donald Trump talked poorly of it.
Following some adjustments and negotiations, they trimmed the pay raises out of the bill – along with many other items, and had it down to just over 100 pages. Donald Trump then updated his view on it, saying it was finally acceptable and that everyone on both sides of politics should agree and vote on it.
That didn’t happen, at least not as of the time of the story being posted. What happened, instead, was Democrat Leaders like Hakeem Jeffries started fuming about it again. It appears that Jeffries is upset that he can’t vote on a bill that gives himself a raise, because obviously anyone would agree to that.
Now Hakeem Jeffries is being mocked all over as the ‘Dollar Tree Obama’ while videos surface of him having a temper tantrum. But Hakeem Jeffries has been crying since at least yesterday when it comes to the spending bill. Jeffries wrote on X: “House Republicans have been ordered to shut down the government. And hurt the working class Americans they claim to support. You break the bipartisan agreement, you own the consequences that follow.”
But Jeffries’ post didn’t go as planned. He was upended by Elon Musk, who responded by saying: “You seem to think the public is dumb. They are not.”
Also, just so everyone knows, the dollar stores are now charging $1.25 – and that’s something everyone should be mad at. One might also mock Hakeem Jeffries by saying “when you get your Obama on Temu.”
I closed the comment section because social media is the place to be for conversations. You will find a LOT more comments on our social media pages, talking with people who have similar interests. Or you might be arguing with people too. Either way, our social media pages get a lot more engagement.
Our readers usually share the story on social media or email, then they start or join conversations. It's a lot more fun that way.
