Activst David Hogg announced he was starting a pillow company to compete with Mike Lindell and MyPillow. Sure enough, just two months after announcing the launch of the company in February, David Hogg has already quit his role and decided he’s going back to activism.
The 20-year-old stated on Twitter his resignation in a series of tweets. David Hogg said: “Effective immediately, I have resigned and released all shares, any ownership and any control of Good Pillow LLC. I want to thank Will for his partnership and wish him absolutely nothing but success with the future of Good Pillow.”
He kept going, “The reasons for my departure rest entirely with me and my own personal commitments and I truly wish Will nothing but the best.” Hogg finished it up with “over the next several months, I will be taking some time to focus on my studies in college and advance the gun violence prevention movement with March For Our Lives and personally.”
Hogg and his now former business associate, William LeGate, wanted to provide a progressive alternative to compete with Mike Lindell and the MyPillow brand. It’s unclear if LeGate will be able to maintain operations on his own, as the company never really got off the ground yet and it’s unclear if it will become anything at all.
