Comey arrested, charged with OUI after crash near state capitol
A Connecticut state representative was arrested for operating under the influence following a crash near the state capitol. Sorry folks, it wasn’t James Comey, but some other guy instead! NBC Connecticut reported:
A state lawmaker is in custody following a crash in Hartford and Speaker of the House Matt Ritter has removed her from all committee and leadership assignments until further notice. House Democrats said State Rep. Robin Comey was charged in relation to the crash, which happened during the evening hours.
The Hartford police log says 55-year-old Robin Comey, of Branford, was arrested at 7:52 p.m. Thursday at 389 Capitol Avenue and charged with illegal operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
