Ilhan Omar is not the only Democratic Representative who might face removal. Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell could face the same problem if Republicans take control of the House in January. McCarthy stated that he doesn’t plan on breaking the promise given earlier this year – to remove California representatives Swalwell and Schiff from the House Intelligence Committee and Omar from the House Foreign Affairs Committee in response to what he described Omar’s…

In order to save money, the Warner Bros. Discovery-backed outlet is cutting into many of its operations and sending some employees home for good. One of them was Chris Cillizza. This is the result of broader cost controls that have continued at the parent company since it merged Discovery Communications with WarnerMedia, which will result in a smaller employee base and less original programming. An ending to one of the nation’s longest-running morning programs is also included in the move, as well as paring back on the number of non-staff contributors utilized on air. But to a bevy of true-crime…

A revelatory series of insights into the efforts of Twitter’s prior regime to interfere in the 2020 election was released by Elon Musk recently. Musk shared the insights via investigative reporter Matt Taibbi, and one of them was that the Democratic National Committee demanded that Twitter censor 75-year-old conservative actor James Woods, among others. Woods announced on Fox News’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight” that he would be “suing the Democratic National Committee no matter what,” after the truth was finally brought to light, and all the suspicions were confirmed. On October 14, 2020, Woods took to Twitter to poke fun at…

Republican leaders were called on by Newt Gingrich, a former Speaker of the House, to stop underestimating President Joe Biden. Gingrich warned that the failure to do so could cost the GOP more elections. Gingrich noted on his blog, when reflecting on the disappointing show for Republicans in the midterms, that despite Biden’s “terrible mismanagement of the economy”, he had one of the best off-year election results in history. This is what Gingrich wrote on his blog: “Despite terrible problems with the economy, crime, and the border (which led many analysts, me included, to assume the GOP would make big…

Disney’s recent movie ‘Strange World’ was off to a terrible start and could possibly lose over $100 million. With $11.9 million from 4,174 North American theaters over the weekend and $18.6 million over the five-day holiday frame, Disney’s “Strange World” debuted dramatically behind expectations. The animated feature was expected to earn $30 million to $40 million between the five-day holiday frame before projections were revised downward. Even those figures would have been unspectacular to start. In modern times, inaugural ticket sales for “Strange World” now register as one of Disney’s worst opening weekends arriving ever-so-slightly ahead of its pandemic-era release…

San Francisco approves police use of robots armed with explosive charges. Following an emotionally charged debate that reflected divisions on the politically liberal board over support for law enforcement, it was voted by Supervisors in San Francisco to give city police the ability to use potentially lethal, remote-controlled robots in emergency situations. Despite strong objections from civil liberties and other police oversight groups, the majority agreed to grant police the option, in an 8-3 vote. The authority would lead to the further militarization of a police force already too aggressive with poor and minority communities, the opponents argued. A member…

President Joe Biden’s call for Congress to intervene in the Railroad union’s contract dispute was slammed by blue collar union union workers. The one union said that the move undercuts their efforts to improve working conditions and Biden’s claim to be a pro-labor leader. Lawmakers will be asked to vote this week to impose the terms of the deals the 12 unions agreed to before an original strike deadline in September, as Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi say, even though they were rejected by four of those unions, who represent more than half of the 115,000 rail workers.
