Amy McGrath took over the Democratic Senate primary fight in Kentucky.  The former Marine was able to beat state Rep. Charles Booker, though it wasn’t a landslide victory. Part of her victory was due to the flood of absentee ballots. In a “Dear Colleagues” letter this Monday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi alerted members of the extension of proxy voting. Pelosi stated that the voting would be extended through mid-August in the house.  As stated in the article by Roll Call, House Sergeant-at-Arms Paul D. Irving, in consultation with the Office of the Attending Physician, notified Pelosi of the current pandemic. Call of Duty video leaks was deleted after it revealed Call of Duty’s 2020 actual gameplay. YouTuber Xclusive Ace is responsible for this leak as he posted this video and claimed that the company showed him the actual gameplay.  The video has since been deleted. However, Game Radar was able to provide some scoop based on what Reddit was able to keep. President Donald Trump receives a temporary ban from Twitch. The live streaming company created this high-profile suspension, citing “hateful conduct.” In their statement, Twitch declared that Trump’s account was found guilty of having “offending content.” The Verge reported that one of the streams that caused the suspension came from one of Trump’s rally in which he claimed that Mexico is sending criminals to the United States. A California resident finds herself in hot waters after she posted a photo of a Starbucks Barista on her social media page. Her Facebook post aimed to shame Lenen Gutierrez for denying her coffee under the “No Mask, No Transaction” Policy implemented in all restaurants. The Biden Cancer Initiative, established in 2017, has reportedly paid millions to some of the top executives, but much less to cure or stop cancer in comparison.  Former Vice President and current Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden founded the nonprofit organization. MINNEAPOLIS — The city council has voted unanimously and approved a measure leading to abolish the police department in their city. This comes after nationwide protests and civil unrest, particularly calls to defund police and law enforcement in general. Business owners in Seattle have filed a class-action lawsuit against the city in regards to the “Occupied” protest zone.  The area is known as “CHOP” and previously known as “CHAZ” – but it’s causing problems for business owners and some of them have resorted to legal action against the city of Seattle. Dixie Chicks have announced that they will officially change their name amid the current cultural environment regarding protests for racial justice. The band, which consists of Natalie Maines, Emily Strayer, and Martie Maguire from now on, will be called “The Chicks.” This Thursday, they changed their website URL and Instagram handle.
