However, the stock market dropped and a spokesperson representing Manchin appeared to be walking back the “absolutely not” statement regarding the checks for higher amounts. Sahil Kapur, a…

Sen. Joe Manchin, a West Virginia Democrat, has said “absolutely not” about sending Americans much needed $2k stimulus checks. Joe Biden, President-elect, would like to have them sent out. Numerous Democrats have agreed to it and even some Republicans. Manchin said getting people vaccinated is “job No. 1” per a report on The Hill. The proposed $2k stimulus checks received much support from many Democrats and President Trump, but GOP Senators were quick to push that into obscurity, leaving many Americans with only a check for $600 – and not everyone has received it yet, and not everyone qualifies. Trump…

The Democratic candidates in the Georgia runoff election are projected to win both contests and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s power is in jeopardy. If both Democrats officially win, then McConnell will lose his power after six years in control of the Senate. McConnell was recently criticized by people on both sides of the political spectrum after he continuously blocked stimulus checks of $2,000 going to most Americans, leaving them with $600. It’s speculated that his decision to not support helping Americans with more funds, while millions went overseas, might have cost some Georgian votes for the Republican candidates. Republicans…
