Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) is calling out woke Joint Chiefs Chairman Army Gen. Mark Milley after the Biden administration allowed a Chinese balloon to traverse the United States, which was reportedly spying the entire duration of its trip.
Greene lashed out at the military and intelligence agencies for allegedly not informing then-President Donald Trump that such incursions had happened during his term, as reports have suggested. “Defense officials now claim that Chinese Spy Balloons briefly flew over the U.S. during the Trump admin, but if true, WHY is this just now being reported?…”this information was discovered after the Trump administration left. How do they know now?” she asked.

“If it’s true the Pentagon purposely did not tell President Trump of Chinese Spy Balloons during his administration then we had a serious breach in command during the Trump admin. The POTUS is the Commander in Chief. We must investigate and hold accountable those who broke rank,” she continued.

Trump administration officials have pushed back on unnamed sources who claim that there were Chinese balloon incursions during his term in office, including the former president himself.
According to Bloomberg:
“Chinese surveillance balloons flew over the continental United States at least three times during the Trump years, according to a senior administration official, but key details about the incursions weren’t widely known until after Joe Biden took office.
“Former President Donald Trump and some senior officials who worked for him have denied knowing that Chinese airships entered US airspace on their watch.
“While some members of the Trump administration eventually realized that the unidentified objects were Chinese spy vessels, those intelligence conclusions often took weeks – particularly because the balloons included jamming systems to hide their true intent, Trump-era officials said.
“The former president was never presented an opportunity to shoot balloons down.
But Trump administration officials have pushed back on this. “The claim that the Chinese spy balloons flew over U.S. soil under Trump generated strong pushback from the former president and from several of his top former officials, including John Ratcliffe, Director of National Intelligence; John Bolton, national security adviser; Robert O’Brien, national security adviser; Ric Grenell, acting Director of National Intelligence; and Mark Esper, Secretary of Defense,” the Daily Wire reported on Monday.
In a tweet, Grenell wrote: “Biden’s DoD is shamelessly using an anonymous source to say that Chinese balloons flew over the US under Trump – and the Trump team allowed it. It is a lie. We never heard this – ever. Congress should demand @SecDef tell the truth. Shame on @JakeSullivan46.”
He added: And shame on the DC media activists who continue to allow the Biden team to be so weak by giving them aid & comfort in their lies and weakness. @jonkarl @maggieNYT @JuliePace lead the coverup.”
