A Fox News meteorologist was jumped by a group of rambunctious teenagers after he stopped them from lighting a passengers hair on fire. The teens were reportedly smoking dope on an NYC subway around 1 in the morning and looked like they were trying to set someone’s hair on fire and that’s when Adam Klotz, expert meteorologist stepped in and put a stop to it.
Fox5NY had the details of the location, reporting:
The NYPD says it happened just after 1 a.m. on a southbound 1 train as it was approaching the 18th St. and 7th Ave. station in Manhattan. The four teens and Klotz all got off the train.
He was up against four teenagers who turned on him, started beating him, and chased him into another subway car when he tried to get away. Four vs one is a difficult battle no matter who you are, but at least Klotz saved the other person from being lit on fire.
The good news is that three of the teenagers were caught by police, but one still got away. The bad news is they were all released fairly quick since they were juveniles ages 15-17 and charged with assault.
What about Adam Klotz? Is he OK? Well, he’s got some cuts/scratches and black eyes on his face and some bruised ribs, but seems like he’ll be just fine once that heals up.
