In New Jersey, under the porch of his Wildwood home, a man discovered a load of cash. Rich Gilson, the resident of the area, was making renovations on his home, and after he went digging, he suddenly discovered the expected load of cash.
While initially, Gilson “thought it was trash,” he changed his mind very quickly when he actually realized just what he had in his hands. He recalled: “My wife was in there painting and I said you got to come see this, you won’t believe what I just found.”
Later he found two tightly rolled cigar-shaped wads of cash containing $10 and $20 bills. Gilson found over $2,000, as he said, which was said to be preserved in its original 1934 condition. “Either somebody robbed a bank and buried it there, or somebody didn’t trust the banks in 1934 during the height of the depression,” Gilson assumed, as stated in the report.
So if you are doing renovations on your home, make sure to check under the porch. As you might just get lucky as Gilson did.
