(Crankers) According to a recent announcement from Fox News Channel, Shannon Bream will start hosting “FOX News Sunday” on September 11. In the 26-year history of the program, Bream is the first female anchor. She will depart her weeknight program “FOX News @ Night,” and until a permanent replacement is chosen, a rotating cast of journalists will guest-anchor the show.

Suzanne Scott, a FOX News Media CEO, praised Shannon as “an outstanding journalist, reporter and anchor who has cultivated a strong and enduring relationship with the FOX News Media audience.” “It has been an honor to cover major news throughout Washington over the last 15 years at FOX News. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to host a Sunday show and look forward to this new role,” she said.

Bream will keep her position as the network’s senior legal correspondent. Since joining in 2007, she has covered all significant Supreme Court rulings for Fox News Channel. Serving as a co-host for Fox’s political show, Bream reached more audience and turned the signature morning chat into a success. She has attracted 20% more viewers than the show’s average audience in 2021.

The episode of “FOX News Sunday” in January that she anchored received the most viewers in 2022. She earned 37% more viewers in the 25–54 age group in June, and the FNC encore presentation of her program attracted more viewers overall than CNN or MSNBC did the same day. During her “FOX News @ Night” show, which was launched in 2017, Breams has conducted many interviews with influential people like Jill Biden and Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch, said a Fox News report.

Bream also achieved success with back-to-back books about biblical women. She is the author of “The Women of the Bible Speak,” published in March 2021, and its sequel, “The Mothers and Daughters of the Bible Speak,” published in 2022. Both have achieved enormous success and enabled Bream to realize her goal of making the New York Times bestseller list.

“When you’re putting together a book, no matter how much you want to focus on the content, you do have this wild dream — could this book ever make the New York Times bestseller list? And I just don’t think that anybody who has helped put together these last two books on the Fox label would have ever imagined that we would have this response that we had from people,” Bream said.

On top of that, Bream is the host of the FOX News Audio podcast “Livin’ the Bream” and the author of the 2019 book “Finding the Bright Side: The Art of Chasing What Matters.” Bream worked as an anchor at local stations in Washington, D.C., and Charlotte, North Carolina, as well as a reporter in Florida, before joining Fox News. She used to practice corporate law and focused on cases involving s-xual harassment and racial discrimination.
